The Cohiba Atmosphere- Guayabera Shirt (Smoke Black) is very traditional in design. The convention of Cuban design is demonstrated in the four pockets, as well as the pleated stripes (known as alforzas) that vertically run down the front of the shirt.
The Guayabera shirt is a well-known piece of traditional menswear in Latin America and the Caribbean, with historical evidence pointing to Cuba as being its homeland. This originates from a tale about a couple in the 18th century in Cuba, which tells the story of how the husband asked his wife to make him a shirt with many pockets so that he had somewhere to put his Guayaba fruits while he worked.
This updated design is made from the most natural materials sourced from Italy. It is manufactured using 50% Linen, which is lightweight and ideal for those warmer climates, and 50% cotton which is soft on the skin. This Guayabera Shirt is in a smoke black shade and has been chosen by many Cigar Clubs around the world as their official Club livery. As the black cloth doesn't stain with cigar ash this shirt is ideal for all sorts of events and occasions, as well as appropriate for more casual attire.
Features include, buttoned side vents by the hip to adjust comfort, panelling on the yoke, a smart straight hem and the Golden Cohiba Logo embroidered onto the left-hand pocket.
This designer has included five pockets in this modern design, providing four generous amounts of storage space for any of your Cuban Cigars and cigar accessories, with a smaller individual pocket for one of your Cuban Cigar Lighters.
